While on the subject of television... I've decided to do a little experiment. My kid is only ever going to watch DVDs of The Electric Company, Captain Kangaroo, and late-seventies Sesame Street. Will he develop a finely-tuned retro sensibility that transcends the irony of the other kids' half-mocking Big Bird t-shirts? Will daily doses of Spidey Super Stories provide inner strength in this age of dangerous moral relativism? Doh. I take it you are going for a bit earlier than the 80s which means 3-2-1 Contact is out. These kids today don't know what they are missing. We had the best toys and the best cartoons back then.
